Easy Tether Lite

Easy Tether Lite is a very lightweight app (barely 150 KB) that lets you share the Internet connection from your mobile phone's Android operating system with any computer or tablet nearby. Its main feature is that it lets you do this using older versions of Android, starting with version 1.5, which is great because the proper tethering tool wasn’t incorporated into the system until version 2.2.

The easiest way to do this would be using a USB cable. You just need to connect the Android device to the computer or tablet and in a few seconds you'll be able to start tethering. Another, even simpler, option is to use Bluetooth.

This free version (Lite) of the app doesn’t let you use tethering to access https websites, instant messaging services, or online gaming. If you want to do any of these things you'll have to purchase the full version.

Easy Tether Lite is a comfortable and simple way to tether using your regular Android device, and it doesn’t even require that your device be rooted.
